I really like that name! It is so adorable and it is awesome to incorporate family names! I think that I like Ellie more than Nellie though. That way it's not naming her the same as your granny, but rather incorporating her name so it can still be original!

Of the two, I think I like Ellie better, although being a fan of old televsion "Ellie" conjures up mental pictures of Elly May Clampett, and "Nellie" reminds me of Nellie Olsen from "Little House on the Prairie."
Kids these days probably wouldn't remember that, though....

Nellie is a pretty name but it sounds old fashioned. I like Ellie better. Harris is masculine but that's okay since it's a second name. How about Harriet?

I like it! Have your considered Ellien?? That way you still get the N in there without i being Nellie, and its different. I kinda like it, although it does kind of sound like Elliot and hellion, which may not be good...lol!
