Do you think corporate America has sold us short by creating excessive materialistic society and then outsourcing so many jobs?

american companies dont typically care about anyone, they only care about dollar signs. talent and hardwork are not the things that keep you going like they once were. flash in the pan trends and trying to influence the sheep for your own gain is all that matters to them.

more so than outsourcing, what pisses me off is that companies like haliburton that are continually proven to be incompetent money hungry vermin are running our country, but they hide behind a man who's obviously a puppet, and since they preach that they're doing things for "god", the masses will follow them.

its disgusting how ppl dont observe all sides of something, and make their own decisions.

I'm a born and raised American...I am an individual first, American second. I personally see the nauseous commercialism and materialistic ways of people in our country. The outsourcing of so many jobs...that's the business aspect of a country. I live in a materialistic country, yet am not materialistic myself. I have a brain, a personal soul, free will and intelligent enough to know how to stave off outside lower minded ways.

This is a complicated political question. There are many factors involved in the way corporations operate today. One big factor is that the American people want convenience and they want it NOW. They want everyone to speak their language, understand their lifestyle and don't make judgements, yet they judge rather rudely everyone and everything that is not like them. They create their lifestyles in cooperation with American companies. The burden of change rests with the BUYER, not the seller.

Yes. They don't care about anything but money. They are quick to send the jobs away but the CEO wont move to any of those countries to live. He wants to stay in the USA and enjoy the good life and stay nice and safe. The big oil co.'s rip us off they gouge us and Bush and his VP let them get away with it. Bush, Cheney and all the CEO's should be sent to Iraq to fight, I bet the war would end real fast.
