one of the answers to my question had a guy said he belonged to a crochet group online,, and i cant find any,, please help me find an online crochet group that i could join!!!! is there any???

There are actually many online message boards (forums) for crochet! (as well as most any other topic). Check out the message boards at these sites (most have more than one crochet group each):

(also check out sites for the larger manufacturers of supplies and equipment for crochet... some of them probably also have a message board or two at their company sites)
There are also "mailing list" groups that are just as good as message boards (in those the messages come in to your e-mail --or they can be accessed online-- up to 25 messages per e-mail if you ask for the "digest" version).
The biggest mailing list group (Yahoogroups) also has many groups for crochet:

P.S. Because there are so many crochet groups in each of these larger groups, you can often tell which is the most active by the number of members each has or the number of messages per day each has.

One group that I belong to is Crochet Partners. It is about to become a Yahoo group. Right now you might find it at www.crochetpartners.com If not there, try the Yahoo group to see if it is up and running yet.
I know that I have seen at least one man posting on there. It is a very good group of people who are very supportive of everyone.

Try going to your local yarn store and ask them if they have any crochet or knitting groups. Usually they do, but if they don't, ask them which stores in the area do. Or if you want an "online" group, search menknit.net.

i know there are free on line pattern places and if you can email them ask if they know about any online crochet groups.

You should try Yahoo! Groups. There are a lot of different forums for different interests.
