GBA SP and GBA are both the same system, "Gameboy Advance" - they can link together - but GBA can NOT link with a previous gameboy system
pokemon blue and pokemon yellow can connect to each other - they are the same generation
so the answer is yes

no you cant, but u can connect a gba and a gba SP
you Can Not connect a color to an advance

I believe you can if you get the connection cable. You can't do it Wi-Fi like you could on the DS.
