It wasn't a material gift....it was simply the time taken when I was a young child to be read to from books, and thus develop a life-long love of reading. I can't think of a better "gift" for any child.

i was born in russia but later moved to america and had forgotten the language and all. my mom sent me to russia to live with my granparents when i was 11 because she felt that i had totally become careless of my relatives there and had forgotten the language. i was really mad at her at the time but i ended up becoming a lot closer with my family over there and i learned the language. thanks mom :)
