ok a Cobolt SS is referred to as a Cavelier Z24.that's a 2.4 V4 with 173hp. The SS supercharged coup comes with a 2.0 V4 205hp The 1980 Corvette. Base motor 350 V8 190hp ni California V8 305 180hp. elective 350 V8 230hp. 2 totaly distinctive vehicles. If the vette is in incredible difficulty I say the vette. yet while it somewhat is the inspiration layout and farely worn down. The cobalt would pull it out off the line nonetheless no longer interior the long-term.

I will guarentee that the Cobalt will outrun the Vette. The cobalt is 205 hp stock, 0-60 is about 5.9-6.3 and will run a 1/4 mile in about 14.5-15.0 sec. The 80's vettes were shitty. Not to mention solid metal body, which means it is quite heavy when compaired to the cobalt.

Didn't know you could get a vette of that vintage with anything BUT a V8.

I would say NO, as they were sickly back then, thanks to the emissions systems choking the engines. It wasn't until into the '90's that REAL H/P and performance started to come back.

I doubt it -- at least not for the first 100 feet or so. The early 80's vettes were equipped with anemic smog engines that would hardly propel them past the speed limit.

Some Corvettes can. It depends on which Corvette engine and the total acceleration distance.

For the first couple hundred feet the SS would be ahead the the Vette would dust it, depending on the driver.

it depends on how much horsepower and torque each car has because what if the cobalt is stock and the corvette has been built it all depends on the way it's built and the way the driver shifts
