Why does it seem like most black people are crazy and can snap at any moment? They're so loud and in-your-face.

What is it with some people? I live in a very white community, and there is a lot of angry and crazy people here. There are some very loud and obnoxious ones too. If you read the weekly sheriffs report, you see a lot of them do snap.

You won't see educated Blacks doing that. I can't picture Colin Powell yelling at Taco Bell. Same applies to whites. We're in the Culture of Rude now. Most of the people you see out in public hanging out are thugs and rednecks.

I did notice though, I went to Wisconsin one time. Everyone was kind and had manners. No one was yelling. The further South we traveled, the louder it got. Southern Missouri, Mississippi and Louisiana it got dirtier with litter and rude, loud people.

I think the thugs you have to see everyday were raised with people yelling at them all the time to get out of their faces while they're watching TV. HipHop is catering to these young people to become angry and violent. It's destroying America. The Blacks are killing each other while the fat, White corporate executives are laughing all the way to the bank.

They think their music is cool. They don't have a clue they're killing themselves.

Well, I am not black(I'm Latina) that statement is too general to be applied to all African-Americans. Some just aren't shy about being themselves and are bold. I have a feeling you are going to get some negative answers because your question is ridiculous.

Well, it really depends which socio-ecomomic group of Black people you are referring to. If you're hanging in the "ghetto", most of them tend to come from disfunctional families, or have come from no family (i.e. the foster care system-which is like growing up in a really bad orfanage (worse than what happened to Oliver, no gruel) In a series of places where no one even likes you [let alone loves you], no one touches you, hugs you or kisses your cheek, and you are taught no basic social skills.
In essence; you are treated like meat that belongs to the state until you turn 18, then you're out on you *** to make the best of life with no skills and no sense of self-esteem. Many have no strong family back ground, no male and/or female role models, some have no job and/or educational skills, some have children that they are unable to parent, because they hae not been parented. Some have neurological, psychological and/or physiological problems due to twhat they have been exposed to . Some have barely adequate communication skills. Some do, but they try to fit in withhte social group that they are "hanging with".
Most black people are not crazy, but alot are pissed-off at how life (ughhh) appears to be unfolding. You see when things are funky, most living things (four legged, finned, clawed and two legged) show unhappiness and agression.
Life is very challenging right now, very few can get "the good life", yet we see it depicted on videos, motion pictures, commercials, and television-black people are still being show that all they can be is sex toys, assistants to other (sometimes, less qualified people), dancing when they get some McDonalds' food (which really irritates me- no food makes me, anyone I know, or have ever encountered dance), caregivers, or poor folks that need help.
Slavery did a job on African American people, taught them that we werent attractive (unless we became highly racially diluted with white people who may or may not have had consensual sex to get born-so that we didn't even look black), separated us according to out many varieties of skin color, separated us based on our parents level of education/ where we grew-up/ etc. and taught us by example that essentially everything that was "us" was unappealing and undesirable, made the men and the women distrust each other, made communication near impossible, made sexuality a sport, and made achievement-oriented types isolated and unable to locate someone to socialize, let alone marry and have children with.

Can snap at any moment, nope- that's just the "survival-don't mess with me" face some of them put on to keep from getting messed with. Then again, some people are just crazy...
Are you originally from Los Angeles?
I am and I am African American, but I grew up with both parents, who were college educated, and they both worked two jobs.
I grew-up in the southern California suburbs, and attended the University of Southern California, own multiple pieces of income and residential real estate, and drive a working vehicle, and um, I'm not mad at all.
The ones that are lound in your face are just hurting - but don't tell them I said so. Might piss them off...

It's not just Los Angeles.

I think the current culture is projecting African Americans as constant victims and keeping them a perpetual underclass with excessive social programs out of guilt. It's difficult to rise up out of your state and take responsibility when everyone else is making excuses for you.
