If I put a CD into my computer (XP Windows)
while on the internet, the CD won't open.
Rebooting doesn't help. Re-installing Roxio
doesn't help. The only thing that works is to
turn off the ethernet box.
Any ideas?

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Yup. Pretty weird. He's gotta be talking about the modem.
Odd he says Ethernet separate from internet. Shows some knowledge - it could be dangerous. OK. Here goes.

Do you have any other computers on your internet?
Do you like re-install Roxio a lot? What version of Roxio ya got?

Is this a new problem? If not, what's changed since it worked.
Is this an internal CD drive? What do you have on your USB ports? How's your computer connected to the Ethernet box?

Well, so far I only have one idea.

Don't put a CD in when you're connected to the internet.
