I just bought a ring from Tiffany's...?

It's a sterling silver ring and it wasn't cheap..
Anyway I've had the ring on for a few hours now and I go to take the ring off just to realize that my finger has a huge green ring around it. Is this normal?
What a rip off!!

I bought it directly from a Tiffany&Co retail store in the mall.
