You probably decide for yourself what is right.
note: RIGHT. NOT RITE.
But your decision is probably heavily influenced by eons-old ideas and "morals" that people general consider to be "correct." For example: everyone thinks that it is wrong to kill because it causes harm and you wouldn't want it to happen to you unless you are suicidal.

Man o' Man this is Christmas and you are raining on my picnic, talking about killing and all. Cant you think of a better question?
look up a book call "World as Will and Representation" by the great scholar Arthur Schoepenhauer and see all that you need to know. Or go to the www.usgovernment.com and ask them who decides? Either way Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Unless you are in jail for killing someone.

Some people would say because the bible says so, or God told someone so they wrote it down and everyone worships in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit. But, personally it's called a consciences.

it is wrong to kill, for no reason like if it's not in defense . IT's wrong because God gave us life , and is in control who takes it , so if you take someoneelse's life , it's like as if you disrespect God majorly , and he will be pissed at you and punish you.
