I expect that anyone I meet would treat another with Dignity and Respect -- and NOT go out of their way to inflict pain and suffering (physical, emotional, mental or in any other form) on another without any care.

Honestly, yes. It's a bad habit of mine I guess. Although the correct (in my opinion) answer would be that you shouldn't expect someone to be your friend since you haven't given them a reason to.

A true friend understands when you have a lot of things on your mind and can't exactly maintain a certain degree of 'perfection' or... whatever you want to call it.
So yes, i expect someone to be a friend to me if i haven't been a friend to them.
But i suppose this depends on the nature of our relationship and how long we have known each other.

Depends on how big of a person they are. I've been a friend to someone when they haven't been a friend to me. I mean, we're friends but not acting in a friendly manner.

No...but I did find myself being angry because someone wasn't being a friend to me, when I had been a friend to them. Then I discovered some things were going on in their life, and I felt really guilty to have the thoughts I had.
