I don't think so. I think that was a very wonderful thing to do for your daughter and grandchildren. You are a very wonderful mother and God bless you for that!
I wish there was more people like you; kind and sensitive to others needs. As you probably know, the holidays do bring out the worst in people!
Your daughter and grandchildren are very lucky to have you. And shame on your daughter's boss. If you own a business, you FIND a way to pay your employees. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

No, it was not wrong. But, why didn't the state pay the Boss? Maybe you should get that checked out or have your daughter get a job that does pay.
you helped your grandchildren have a Christmas this year. Some people do not even have parents-or anyone for that matter-to celebrate Christmas with. What you did was sweet and thoughtful and nice. There is nothing wrong with seeing your grandchildren have a Christmas this year.

No! She's your child and they're your grandchildren. Listen: Around Christmas time it's SO hard to get presents for everyone and have enough time to wrap them while knowing you have more cooking to do..etc.,so I'm SURE that your daughter greatly appreciated it. My grandma would help my mom get us presents all the time and that just made us appreciate the gifts even more cuz we loved both of them so much. Don't feel bad and don't feel like helping your own child is wrong. After all the minute you gave birth to her you signed your own contract in your brain stating that you'd help your child whenever needed. You sound like a generous and caring mother AND grandma and she's lucky to have a wonderful mother.
~Merry Christmas and Happy New Year~

I don't think it was wrong at all. Just because her boss didn't pay her donesn't mean her kids should not have a good Christmas. I'm NOT critisizing, but I have always found it easier to shop for Christmas all year. That way if things get tight at Christmas we know the kids will still have gifts for Christmas.

Absolutely not! Boss needs to be given a reality check. Boss should be more prepared to pay his workers. I bet his kids did not go without! Tell daughter to look for better job! But why should the children suffer! You are a good Grandma!

No..you are helping your child out and someday the favour will be returned!! There is nothing more gratifying than having been there for someone you care about. I'm sure if you ever needed your childs help..they would come running to you! You are a good mother. My mother and I often help eachother out. We take turns grocery shopping. If she forgot something and needed it, I would bring it to her. Money too. Ive borrowed from her, and vice versa. Just ask that she pay you back. In increments if you dont mind and if its easier on them.

There is nothing wrong with buying your grandchildren presents. If your daughter cannot afford them, and there is anyway that you can help then do as you please. christmas is an amazing and exciting time for young children and it's a joy seeing there eyes light up when they open a gift.

their your grandchildren right? What grandmother woudn't want her grandkids to have presents for christmas knowing she could have helped them have a good christmas? Be thankful that you can do for them and make them happy. That's what grandparents do even if they don't get along with their children. IF your daughter has problems and you know what i mean, then don't give her cash and just get them gifts yourself.

Let's see. You feel guilty for helping your daughter get presents for your grandchildren because she didn't get paid. Unless your daughter is irresponsible, you should never question helping a family member in need. Especially if it involves YOUR daughter and YOUR grandchildren.
