Red lipstick can be really hot.
On people with light skin, Red Lipstick looks so classy.
Whatever you think looks good on you.
But it's a bold color, so you have a bold personality to go with it.

There are many shades of red out there to chose from and if you aren't all that shy try approaching the lady at the cosmetic counter and asking her for assistance or if you don't feel comfortable doing that do a little research on the web to find out.
Your want to get a red lipstick that looks good on lighter skin and there are shades that suit a much lighter skin tone. If you have a lighter skin tone that either has yellow undertones or pink undertones.
If you have yellow undertones you most likely would suit a red that has yellow undertones. If you have pink undertones in your skin you lipstick with pink undertones would be more suitable.
Here's some articles and ideas that may be helpful to you.

First off, when I had braces, I used to get rubber bands to match my clothes. Might as well turn them into something you actually can enjoy a little, you know?
But sure, red looks great on a pale person, but you should gear towards a wine color. I definitely wouldn't go for orangey firetruck red. Definitely don't get anything with a name like terracotta or blaze, unless you've got bright blonde or red hair and are trying for the fireball effect.
If you want the classy, deep color but can't find a red that suits you, (or the one that you do find looks very dressy, and only for night time) also don't underestimate the neutrals. Raisin comes out looking red on me, and makes my lips look nice and winestained without making my mouth the first thing you notice. (and I'm one of those people who ignites in direct sunlight- so I know how it is to try to not look like a clown doing virant colors with light skin.)

I have very pale skin and braces and wore an extremely bright shade of red lipstick to school--it looked fine. Just wear something simple, so the colors don't clash. (Red lipstick with a flattering black shirt is classic.) Also make sure your lips are smooth, red lipstick makes dry lips look drier and lipstick in general causes dry lips to peal more.

I think you should. I've had braces before and I'm glad that I did have them since my teeth look so much better now. People with like skin look great with red lipstick. Best of luck to you on it and happy new year!

definitely wear red... so long as you dont have really thin lips as red just makes them look even smaller! But generally red lippy can look good on any skin tone so long as you pick the right tone- apparently for us of the pale skinned variety blue based red is most flattering.
if u compare the different reds together and try them all out on ur skin u will see more clearly which one is best suited to you.

Probably not. The red will only draw attention to your mouth & with light skin you will look like you are bleeding...
Why are you embarrassed by your braces anyway?

Maybe not RED, but a shade of red that might match your skin tone. Not many people can pull it off...especially with braces. Your mouth already has attention brought to it... Good luck

If you don't want to draw attention to your braces, then red is not a very good idea. When you get your braces off, then... if your outfit is kind of old style and classy it will look really good.

If you like red lipstick, then wear it. Who cares if other people like it? I actually think that red lips look very pretty on light skin. I like the contrast.
