The volunteer fire department in our community does the same thing. I usually think everything must be on fire, because of all the sirens. Takes me a second to realize it is just Santa visiting the neighborhood.I call my daughter on her cellphone so she can hear it. I haven't missed a year yet. She's almost 42 years old.

Our village has a dinner with Santa, and it's nice because there are only about 30 kids in the village so they each get a bit of time with him. This year he gave them all a stuffed toy and a $10 gift card to wal-mart. My kids have yet to figure out how to spend that...lol, they're probably waiting to see what they get for Christmas first.

How awesome is that, you are so lucky! What a great joy, and memory for the kids. I wish they did that everywhere. There is a park in our town, where they put up lots of lights and decorations, and you drive through and enjoy yourself. Downtown, they have old fashioned figures, including santa, coming down Main street, beginning the day after Thanksgiving.
Merry Christmas to you and yours! :)

I stay in a small city on the west coast in the Napa valley, even nonetheless it somewhat is reasonable housing. i decide directly to stay right here extremely then a fancier place because of the fact i can walk to city, it has a brilliant form of events and it somewhat is a fifty 5 and older community. i do no longer desire to assert precisely the place that is because of the fact that is my little heaven and that i desire to maintain it that way.

Thanks, that brought back memories- my town did that one year, too. That stocking held the sweetest, most delicious candy I ever had. It remains one of my most precious Christmas memories.
