okay...my mom is chinese with brown eyes and my dad is black with brown eyes and i have green eyes. my mom or dad dont have white in their family with green eyes. plus, when i was born, my mom said my eyes were gray and sorta blue on the edges. then it was hazel when i was six. now its green. what the hell? how is my eye color changing?

Heredity.
Perhaps someone in your family has green eyes, and you don't know it. Maybe your great great great great great grandma has green eyes.
Both my parents have blue eyes, while mine are green with yellow stripes, a gray rim on the border of my iris and brown around the border of my pupil. It's actually really pretty, green eyes are adoreable.

Actually your eyes are hazel...and how do you know there isn't ANYONE in the entire history of either of your parent's families that didn't have this eye color? I have hazel eyes that change from brown to green depending on the seasons, what I wear and my moods. That's probably what happens to your eye color.

recessive gene. all my dad's side of the family all have black hair, except for dad and his siblings (brown/blond) and green eyes. don't know where that came from. mom's side has red/blond hair and alabaster skin. I ended up with alabaster skin, jet black hair, and vivid green eyes. The most unusual combination i have ever seen. Everyone said i dyed my hair when i was little but i didn't. then to top it all, my eyes started out deep blue, then to gray, now to very vivid green. so, I don't know how all of this happened, but i like it!

Hmm I am not sure but in the summer I have dark brown hair and blue eyes and in fall and winter I have black hair and green eyes. It's really strange but expecially in your case.

i agree with Sasha. i have brown eyes and in different times of the year they become an almost green color. it's really wierd how that happens though. i wish i could have green eyes.

some people's eyes r like that. i this lady who had light blue eyes when she was little and now she has dark brown. did ur parents had the same problem at ur age?

recessive genes, and dominant genes.....
dominant genes wouldve given u brown eyes but seems like ur recessive genes have kicked in and given u green eyes, all natural, dont worry, im sure u look gr8 with green eyes.... ur great great great gma or gpa would've probably have em. my dad's eyes are green too but i have dark brown eyes.

Same things happens to me. In the winter, they're blue, in the spring, they're bright aqua green, then in the summer, they turn turquoise with gold on the outside. like my hair it real blonde in the summer, and then reddish in the winter.

my eyes are gray unless i wear a green shirt, then they are green. who cares, it's just your eye color

becasue in your genes, you have a recessive gene
in the summer my eyes are brown and i have black hair
in the winter i have lighter brown eyes and brown hair....it all changes naturally
