It happend 3 times.
December 28, 1997 - Starrcade: Sting finally got his shot at Hulk Hogan and ended up winning the WCW World title. But was stripped of the title.
February 22, 1998 - SuperBrawl: Sting defeated Hulk Hogan to capture the vacant WCW World Heavyweight title.
July 6, 1998: Bill Goldberg used a spear and jackhammer to defeat wrestling icon "Hollywood" Hogan and capture the WCW title.

Is this it- He was soon cheated out of the WCW Championship to Ric Flair at Uncensored 1999 in a steel cage, first blood match. Strangely enough, a heavily bleeding Flair would win via pinfall thanks to biased referee Charles Robinson. During that match, however, Hogan began to show some signs that a face turn was imminent, showing off some old tactics like his "Hulking up" no-sell.
