I honestly don't understand the point of this question, or why anyone would answer it. "...biggest/most expensive..." Is that what it's all about? This would have made more sense if you'd put it under polls & surveys, not Christmas! I wouldn't even dream of talking about what I got who & how much it cost. As long as it made them happy, what else counts?

I'm not wasting my money on expensive gifts that will be only used a few times and then put in the back of the cupboard.
I'm spending very little money this year. I'm giving gifts that I made which I know will be much more appreciated than expensive gifts.

I'm knitting a scarf for my boyfriend out of really nice yarn. It's probably going to end up costing me almost $40, plus the hours I'm putting into making it. It's worth it, though, because that's what he asked me for.
