i want to find my dad, but all i know is his name and the city he lived in 2 or 3 years ago. i dont have his number, i dont have his email address and i dont have his adress, so how can i find him WITHOUT hirring someone or spending alot of money, or not spending any would be best ?
is there like a website i can check out or something?

If you reach out, please keep your expectations low. I've experienced this firsthand, as have friends. The reception wasn't what we'd hoped for.
You might also try putting his name into various online phone directories, using the city you showed him at.

I don't think you have time to find him before Christmas, but I'd first try to Google him and see if anything comes up. If you know what kind of work he did/does, that might help. You should be able to track him down through the court system for child support. If those things don't work, he probably doesn't want to be found and you might just have to pay a little bit to one of the people find sites that gives you access to public records.

Sorry, sounds like a difficult job without hiring a private eye. Have you tried google.com to see if he's been on the web for anything? Also www.whitepages.com or public records
