...I'm guessing somewhere in the north...anyone know?

What's the least religous state in America? Polls, data, would be appreciated!

THANKS!

Washington seems to be the least religious state.

"According to the American Religious Identification Survey 2001 (ARIS), 25% of people in Washington say they have no religion at all, or call themselves atheist, agnostic or secular."

California is considered the most atheistic state in the United States. The south is considered the most religious. I wish I could find the data that I was reading the other day to show you.

I'll look for specific data, but south is more religious, and western states are much more athiest, especially California.

interesting, but not broken down by state: http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_prac2.htm

I'm a little confused by this, but you can take a look at this: http://www.beliefnet.com/politics/religiousaffiliation.html

I'm pretty sure it's Washington state. I've seen it some some magazine a while back.

I don't know but the most educated state sure isn't Nebraska.

"Atheistic," for christ's sake...

I would figure that California is probably the least religious.
