The main purpose of Tea Time is teach the girl a proper table manners along with how to be a good hostess. We used to have Tea Time, but with the rush of what goes around, we don't any more. and now it is simply changed to just a play time for the girls.

Hmmm, I had a tea set, but never played tea time . . . hmmmm. I played with the set, but was clueless about such things as high tea. I copied social functions that were present in my culture. There are a lot of older women who collected tea pots as well, although they were all coffee drinkers. Interesting question.

Fair question, and my initial response is, we SHOULD have tea time! I think its a great tradition, and we could all use a bit more tea and cookies, scones, or biscuits in this life! Having tea, is a beautiful thing.

because it's more fun than having to "cook" a full meal.
and all the princesses drink tea, and every little girl wants to be a Disney princess
