Anyone remember the alien bad guy thing from Stretch Armstrong. I remember having one in the top of my closet and it burst. The goo inside was red, and it expanded everywhere and dripped to the floor. I remember it looking like blood was pouring out of the closet. My dad was pissed, but there really wasn't anyone to be mad at. The thing burst on its own because of the heat or humidity. Anyone else have something like this happen?

Yeah, I remember those toys. I had some great memories with them. I had the one you're talking about, and I also had just plane 'ol Stretch Armstrong. They truly were a great toy, if only they made toys like that now a days. Burying them in the sand box, pushing them on the swings, the bath-tub, dropping them off of stuff way up high, to the extreme feats of sticking the alien dude's head in the toilet and repeatedly flushing the poor toy all while holding it in my hands, laughing my butt off.

Thank you for posting this question. You have helped me reminisce a time in my life that I seldomly slow down enough to acknowledge. You have brought a smile upon my face.

I hope you find the answer you were looking for.

It definetly had to do with the heat and the wear and tear that came from playing with it. We had Stretch Armstrong and my cousin was curious so he stuck it in the microwave for a few seconds, took it out and strecthed him...the thing burst open and got hot goo all over his arm, lol he got burnt pretty bad...

aahhh those were the days.. ;-)

If it was the green lizardy guy, that was Stretch Monster. And yeah, he was filled to the brim with ooey-gooey red karo/corn syrup. I think pretty much all of them exploded if you played with them too much, poked them with sharp things, or...in one memorable case that I don't care to discuss...left them in the car on a hot day.

My mother thought we'd somehow accidentally exploded a cat in there.

Needless to say, we didn't get another one.
