From the computer you want the IP of, you can go to www.whatismyip.com and it will give you your IP. If you want another computers IP such as a websites, click Start, Run, and type in "ping www.****.com"

You have to contact an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and pay for it. You will also need them to supply you with your connection to the internet.

I don't want to offend, but you might want to pick up "The Internet for Dummies" The "for dummies" series is very good for everyone..it steps you through what you need to do and explains all the terms in detail.

go to command prompet on your system type ipconfig it wil show your computer IPNumber
