Give more info, doni d. If this is a Mathematics question, we need something like an equation to describe the shape of the ship shell. But even then, I suspect my knowledge wouldn't extend to working out the roll axis, but someone else might.

A ship use the Bow/Mast Starboard coordinate system. The roll a-axis would befrom bow to stern and would correspond to the x-axis in solid geometry. The Starboard axis would correspond to the y axis, and the mast axis would correspond to the z-axis. I do not know of any formula for finding the exact x- or roll-axis.

Ships at sea must of course constantly correct the coordinate system as the ship rolls, pitches, and yaws.
