If you are on the pill and miss just a couple of days...it could make it irregular for a couple of months. Also weightloss or stress can cause this. It could also be a medical problem. If you are normally regular and have recently become irregular, you should see your doctor.

For me it always goes funny the first couple times I have in when I'm transitioning between living at college or at home because my body tried to sync with whoever I am living with. It can also be irregular if there's something wrong with one of your ovaries, if you just started getting your period or you're nearing menopause, if you just went on on came off of birth control, or if you're not getting proper nutrition. If you are really worried about it or this is a sudden change, you should make an appointment to see your gynecologist.

A period could become irregular for many reasons:
stress, poor diet, rapid weight gain or loss, pregnancy, hormone imbalance....
if you have missed your period, take a HPT, if that is negative, take a trip to your doctor and see what they can come up with.
