At least I'm not a hypocrite. I'll miss church again this year.

I don't go to church, and I will not be attending services on Christmas Eve. The last time I was in a church was for a wedding not a sermon.

It's true what you say...I know people who only go to church on Easter and Christmas....it's hypocritical. I am not a church goer, I was but I can't seem to find a Church that satisfies me. I am very spiritual and I do pray...I don't think church is a must. How you live your life is what is important, believing in your God whatever God that is, because in the end there is only one God regardless of your religion. Some people need church for spiritual satisfaction and that is absolutely fine. Whatever works for you as long as you are a decent human being..

Some people do it out of tradition, some do it out of respect ( or even fear), some do it because they feel they have to since Christmas is a high feast day.
Since me and hubbind are disabled, we'll probably just watch it on TV again. I used to love to be there in person, but the travel and the crowds are often a lot of trouble for us now.

Most people attend church services during Christmas and Easter time when they normally do not attend services any other time of year could be explained as: Christmas is viewed as the birth of Jesus (the founder of Christianity and whom Christians view as humanity's Savior so it makes perfect sense to honor and celebrate his birth) and Easter is viewed as the death and subsequent reserruction of Jesus which Christians believe validate his status of Son of God. Essentially, attendance is higher during these observances out of respect and honor for Jesus of Nazareth (who is rightfully known as the Christ).
I tried my hardest to provide an unbiased response to your question, my friend. Merry Christmas! :-)

least you will have your church will i burn it down
than the day will be when you will hear the sound
every inch from your yard will i haunt you
that will give you the fright of the night on through
may the days be longer, and your night's be frightening
that your shadow will show you the way to the truth
my cauldron's chant,my cauldron's trance
will be the spell broken to YOU
least you care,least you say
the end will come your way someday
never trust a witch's brew, never turn her your name through and
through
now the end is nearing by days times two
forget ye not,of the spell that will tear you into
that your worst dreams will arrive by the night of the full moon
this the spell done unto you
in the night of the moon's light that is full and in view
the evil witch

I always go to church.
Perhaps some people feel the Holy Spirit only on Christmas... then they backslide.

Because their heart gets touched by the joy of the moment, and their spirit or soul needs the sweet music of church.
I bet the Lord is joyful that they 'show up', anytime.
