When i was listening to my ipod. I went to change the song and my ipod nano froze. I tried everything. Nothing will work. Right now my ipod is pluged into the computer and nothing is happening. I tried turning the hold button on and off and nothing happened.

It has the play symbol in the upper left hand corner and its not playing. My ipod nano has been almost dead for like 3 hours.

I NEED HELP!!!!

That's easy! Just follow these steps :)
1.) Press the Menu button and the Select button( the center button) BOTH @ the same time.
2.) Hold them down for 6-10 seconds or until you c the Apple Logo
3.) Let go of Menu and Select
4.) Then it should be ok!
5.) Now you're finished! :)

Take care!

Most of the time it just gets stuck in a rut and needs to reset, the way i am going to explain to you wont loose any data whatsoever. Toggle the hold to on then off, then hold the select button (button in middle of wheel) and the play/pause button simultaneously for about five seconds, the apple logo should appear then you should get the normal menu, if this doesn't work go to apple.com and check the support tab. Hope this helps, Brodster

This works for a lot of modern computer-ish products. I have success with a copier, computer, and cell phone anyway.

Turn it off. Take battery out. Wait 5 min. Put battery in. Turn on.

Seems too simple, but sometimes that's all it takes to reset something.
