I do not know what religion you practice, or what god you worship, but, I was taught that a partnership of any kind should be based on mutual understanding and agreement.
If you are in a committed relationship, that relationship should be of 50-50 status. That each should put in as much as the other person. Dogs need to obey. Children needs to obey their parents and their teachers and adults.
Married couples should love and respect each other. It is "love, honor and cherish". If you are going to go for that "love, honor and obey", then, you just might have to wait for that from a woman woman willing to "obey" her man.

Since you were 'taught' this wrong way of thinking for this Century: welcome to the REAL WORLD. It is NOT in the wedding vows anymore for women to 'obey' their husbands. Women are NOT peices of meat, dogs, property, a child, or anything else that 'has to be controlled.' Expecting a woman to obey her husband/man is controlling and that is NOT allowed in this day and age. That is, actually, considered abuse.
I am lucky I got out of a relationship like that (after being with him for 20 long years) and got into one where I am his EQUAL, his PARTNER in everything. We don't control each other; we don't expect one to obey the other; we both pitch in with the housework (he works full-time; I go to school full-time to get a great paying job--yes I do most of the housework since I am home more, but he does help from time to time, especially when I am sick or overwhelmed). We totally respect each other in every way possible. This is how a relationship is supposed to be: 100% from both partners, no control or abuse, total respect both ways. If one expects the other to obey them, then there is NO respect.
So, since you were taught this, then it sounds as if whoever taught you this has/had NO respect for women, period. A 'real man' would have respect for women and wouldn't expect them to obey him. A 'boy' in a 'man's body' expects women to bow down to them, be their slave, and to obey them.

Carl darling the place have you ever BEEN boy??? The "obedience" clause went out of marriage before and lots away...For as some years as i became luckily married, i can't remember a time whilst my guy EVER even remotely utilized such an thought in our relationship...My goodness, i could have been ROTFL. Now don't get me incorrect, I respected him a great deal, depended on him previous perception and we the two especially lots agreed on responsibilities and shared maximum each and every thing. Methinks expensive, you're livin below a rock and function't considered the easy of day for sooooooo long, which you're unaware that circumstances have replaced as properly as THAT ridiculous element of wedding ceremony vows oftentimes. So do your self a desire, "bone up" on present day, present day-day wedding ceremony vows and what oftentimes remains pronounced and what truthfully has long previous via the wayside, won't you? you would be a greater effective guy for it probably Grace

The Bible does say that the Husband is the head of the household and that the wife should obey. You really need to read more into the Bible though. There is laws the husband has to obey also.

I think its all that feminist crap that making women like that. Maybe I'm from the dark ages or something...lol But I like being a stay at home mom, I like that my husband pays all the bills. In return he has a clean house, dinner on the table, children are taken care of , and yes I OBEY him.

Hmmm. I suppose it depends on the couple.
But, as I answered your other similar question, if the man wants to be the boss, instead of a partner, then he needs to get a dog and not be with a woman.
