How can they? There would be no reason to do so b/c having the main character go through another situation of adversity would never measure up to his first experience. Plus I highly doubt that Tom Hanks would ever do it. That would be the worst sequel ever b/c there wouldn't be any storyline.

I really doubt it. They might make a movie similar to it, but I doubt there's going to be a sequel to Cast Away.

They should have made the sequel where the Tom Hanks character hooks up with the "butterfly lady", Bettina Peterson, played by Lari White. The way the movie ended that was sort of implied as Hanks looks back to where he dropped off the package at the "butterfly ranch".

Are you kidding?? look..... i presumed it grew to become right into a large action picture yet he have been given rescued. it may be heavily unlucky if he went on yet another plan and lower back have been given stranded on a desert island. in the event that they make a sequel to castaway then those script author could besides start off on great 2!!

no it's been forever now, you would have heard of it.
plus that was the whole story. just assume he goes on with his life as normal and be happy with it.
i'm so sick of hollywood trying to wring out every last cent from our pockets by producing more and more second rate sequels.
