Use a song that you know he likes. Mabe something you listened to together in your childhood? Or if it's an X-mas themed slideshow use old X-mas music like Bing Crosby singing White Christmas. Good luck and hope this helps!

How about just orchestra music. No one singing, just music. You don't want A Holly Jolly Christmas playing when he sees a photo of someone that has passed away. Low playing background music would probably be best.
