I want to burn a DVD on my PC, What type a DVD+R or DVD-R?

Most newer DVD player will play both formats now. I recommend the DVD-R as they are most comaptible with older DVD players.

It is not clear that DVD-R is more compatible with older players. I have one of the earliest DVD players made (Magnavox) and it plays DVD+R but not DVD-R. My later model Sony won't play DVD+R. Fortunately, players made in the last few years will play both.
