i want to do it myself. i only have saftey pins, a couple reg. needles, a piercing earring, and the cleaning stuff. nothing professional.
don't tell me its stupid & don't do it.
i know, i'm not afraid to take riskss. :]

If you insist on doing it yourself, then your first priority is to sanitize all your materials. The best way to do that is by heat (such as the oven, not mircowave!) or perioxide/alcohol. I also recommend numbing your lip as best you can. Anbesol will work, but ice can do in a pinch if left on long enough. Make sure you have some paper towels or such ready to clean up the blood, and it might be easier to have a friend do the actual piercing. Make sure you mark both sides of the lip where you intend to pierce so that you know it will be straight. Really though, there are less dangerous spots to pierce if you insist on doing it yourself.

if your going to do it regardless the safety, just make sure you sterilie and clean everything you are using. MAke sure also you clean it everyday to prevent infections.
