So I got my husband a beautiful silk tie..the perfect color he didn't have to match all his dress shirts! He just got a new job and didn't have many ties before so a great gift! So tonight he comes home with an armful of ties his friend gave him..including one similar to mine! What should I do now it is christmas eve tomorrow? Do i not give him the tie just my other stuff or give him the tie and tell him it was a good gift until now???

Give him the tie anyway. It is a gift from the heart. Your gift is just as good or better than the other ties. Be proud of what you give hubby. I am sure he will be delighted with it.

Sorry, not a lady, but have an idea. Give him the tie, but as they say, "Make it your own."
Just before turning in for the night put on the tie with your slep attire adi the biggest ugliest shirt you have.
Tell him there's one last gift to unwrap, handing him the tail of the shirt.
As soon as he sees the tie, wave it at him and ask if he likes it.
It will be his favorite tie for life.
If not hang him in his sleep with it.

Give him the tie. He knows you got it before his friend decided to give him a bunch of ties and it's still a very practical gift. If the ties are not EXACTLY the same, it still adds some variety to his wardrobe selection.

Here is a thought: give him the other presents for Christmas and make the tie you bought him super special and memorable by wearing only the tie you bought him to bed. I can guarantee you that your tie is the only one he will remember of all the ones he received.

Do you have time to return it, maybe get some cologne instead? If not, I would give it to him, I'm sure he will still like it. Like the saying goes: It's the thought that counts.

I would give it to him anyway..its really the thought that counts. He will more than likely love the one you picked out for him with just him in mind.

don't worry. just give it to him. i am sure he will like urs much more considering you are his wife and his co workers aren't as improtant to him. just tell him you had no idea that other peopel would get him this tie. trust me, he will love it even if he already has one lik eit.
