if you are a true friend then you will tell the guy you can't go out with him and you can't talk to him anymore. you just don't do that. it doesn't matter if he likes her or not. how would you feel if the she got involved with a guy you liked? when i was 1st getting to know a new friend she told me she really liked this one man. i liked him too but kept my mouth shut about it. it became obvious she didn't stand a chance with him and i might have. she even told me i should go out with him. it was very tempting but that is a line i would not cross. maybe she would have been okay with it but i knew she was crazy about him and it was a chance i just wouldn't take. i wouldn't have hurt her for anything. we are still close friends 4 years later but he is nowhere around. no if he resurfaced i think she is over him and i could pursue it but not then. men come and go but a true friend is forever. they are the ones who will always be there for you. friendship is so valuable. don't risk a real friend. your friend is probably hurt and doesn't want to admit he just doesn't like her. tell her you aren't interested, even if it is a lie. and stay away from him. your friend is still human and she isn't any more perfect than anyone else but she will get over it if she doesn't see you as competition. and next time tell her you aren't getting involved.

Don't do anything with this guy, or else that will totally ruin your friendship. It's good that you know why your friend liked the guy but don't act on your feelings because she liked him first and that would make her angry at you. Just tell her that you dont like him and have no intentions of doing anything with him and how you were not planning on making him like you. Apologise for it even though you didnt do anything and the your friend should be able to let it go. If she doesnt then she isnt too good of a friend to let a guy get in between your friendship. Do whatever you can to make things right.

If your friend would stop being your friend because her crush likes you and you acted on it... well then she's not really a friend. Just a convenient acquaintance. I'd explore the situation more with a single worry. Talking about it to all parties would be the best thing in the end.

DO NOT tell the boy to not talk to you anymore, that's not fair to you or him. If this girl was really your friend then she wouldn't blame you. At first yeah, she's going to be really angry! But just leave her be for a bit and then explain the situation: she asked you to talk to him and you've been talking for a while and now your feelings have grown. If she was really your best friend then she'll forgive and forget. If not, she's not worth it!
Now, the boy situation. You sort-of like him? I'd just explain to him that you don't know yet and that you're unsure of how you feel, but maybe you do. Carry on talking to him though and maybe then you can actually really like him. You deserve to happy and if he makes you happy, go for it! If your friend can't except that then she doesn't deserve any unhappiness from you!

Well…i don't think you should start seeing him or anything like that. The problem is that if you're her real friend, you should back off. And if she's your real friend, she'll do the same for you. It's mutual. Even if you like him, it's best to keep your mouth shut for a little while to spare your best friend's feelings

Well, if she made you go up and talk to him, then I don't see how it's your fault. But I do think you should talk to your friend about the whole situation first before you do anything with the guy. If you truly don't wanna lose your mate over a guy, then be prepared to give him up.

Best friends are like boy friends when you're young... they come and go.
But perhaps it's time to send your friend on a mission for both of you - you went last time, it's her turn. Ask her to talk to "her crush" your "would be" and get things straight from the horse's mouth: Is he hot for her or is he hot for you?.
In the end, whatever makes you feel comfortable and happy is going to be the right thing to do... trust yourself on this.

Ur first mistake was talking 2 the guy in the first place. U should've told ur friend 2 talk to this guy herself, but you'll b right behind her if she needs u. Second u should've been honest with ur friend and told her how u feel about him. If u want 2 keep ur friend I think u need 2 let that boy GO!
