I agree that you need to see your doctor about your irregularity. The second answer about PCOS is ONE reason that you could be irregular, there are others. If something is wrong besides bad diet and/or stress, the doctor can help figure it out and treat you for it.
Temperature charting works best with regular cycles, since it goes off an overall average of when you ovulate. If your cycles are irregular, there won't be an accurate average. Ovulation predictors are good, but again, you can can end up spending a fortune if you ovulate later than you're guessing and have to take more tests per cycle.

I have very very irregular periods.. I would do 3 months without a period then I would go 2 months without a period then I would go 8 months without a period...and so on....
I am now 27 weeks pregnant with (so far) a healthy baby girl.
I took no pills..I just kept trying...daily... It did take about 5 months before I got pregnant...but here i am.
It is very important that you talk to your doctor first. Have a pap smear and make sure that you are healthy. When I went to the doctor after some blood test were taken and after a pap smear nothing came out wrong...I was told by my doctor that It was going to be very difficult for me to get pregnant because of my irregular periods...but she never said that it was impossible.
So go to your doctor and just keep trying...don't get discourage if it doesn't happen when you want it to happen.

Go to your OB and figure out what's wrong. Knowing what the problem is can make it easier to work on a solution. If you're not having regular periods, it means you're not ovulating. If you're not ovulating, it means you won't get pregnant. Irregular periods are a sign of PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome, and that's something you'll likely need medication for in order to get your cycles regular. If it's fertility meds you're worried about, discuss your options after talking to your OB and getting some tests run to see what's going on w/ your body.

Taking the pill won't help you get pregnant...it will just regulate your period...unless you are not talking about the birth control pill...you can chart your Basal Body Temperature or buy a ovulation predictor kit so that you have a better idea of when you are ovulating. Good luck!

eat right, start taking your vitamins now, keep the stress level as low as possible and regular sex. 2-3 times a week, usually does the trick. Other than that, just a little bit of patience. Good Luck!

First, get married
2nd ,have intercourse ( vaginal) at least once every day.
3rd, make sure you're partner wears boxers, not jockey shorts
4th ,Sleep on your tummy after intercourse- at least an hour.
Keep this up until you get pregnant
