Yes, why do you think people need braces? Even people who had straight teeth when they were younger but in their 40s or whatever and getting braces to fix them.

It is actually very easy to move teeth around in someones mouth. However, doing this would involve pressing a large amount of force on a single tooth and the pain would be unbearable. The reason treatment takes so long is that the bone around the teeth also has to move with the teeth and if it does not, the teeth will move back into their original position. After most of the bone has moved into the new position, your orthodontist may suggest to wear a retainer to help keep the teeth in the new position and to strengthen the bone. The time that he/she may suggest to wear the retainer will vary depending on how strong the bone is. This can range from only a few weeks to a few years.

Yes they can. I had braces and when I was a kid I had a toung thrust for sucking my thumb. Well the teeth got fixed but the thrust didnt so my toung had pushed my teeth forward to give me an over bite again. :)

they can move from other teeth growing in... use your tounge to put pressure of the tooth to move it where you want it... i had double teeth(if you know what that is) and they took the baby ones out and i had to push with my tounge to make the new ones go in the right place...
i never needed braces

good luck

Absolutely yes. Having been someone who had braces, I can notice when they move on a daily basis.

Yes, they can. If they do, you better call your dentist for an URGENT appointment. You probably have a gum infection (pyorrhea) and you may end up losing them.

This is no laughing matter!
