Whose fault is it really? Herself or her parents?
Will her life go downhill quickly as a result?

I think she needs to accept full responsibility for her behavior. Given the Vanessa Williams scandal, did she honestly think such pictures would never come to light? She is deceiving herself and the state she serves.

Katie does not seem to have the same sense of class as Vanessa Williams and I would be surprised if she ended up doing as well. She has a lot of growing up to do to get to that point, nonetheless. I feel sorry for her parents and family who have to see such pictures of their immature daughter posted all across the internet and the scandal making worldwide news. I do not feel they are to blame, as 17 is old enough to know better.

We are all ultimately responsible for our own actions. Of course, Ms. Rees is to blame for her actions. At some point, you can not hold your parents responsible for your actions.
She claims she was 17 at the time. So, she was definitely old enough to know right from wrong.
Her life will not necessarily go downhill. Vaness Williams' life didn't. In fact, she picked herself up and became extremely famous after she lost her crown.
However, if the pageant officials give Ms. Rees a 2nd chance, then they need to give Vanessa a 2nd chance.
I have been reading alot of the responses to questions like this about Katie Rees and many people don't see the problem in what she has done. I can only assume that many of the respondents are in their teens and twenties as well. I am in my thirties.
Once you tarnish your reputation, it may be almost impossible to ever fully recover. Vaness Williams, as I have said before, has gone on to fame in the entertainment industry. However, those pictures still exist and at some point may resurface. She has moved passed them but they are still out there.

Hers and hers alone. Ultimately, you are responsible for your choices in life. Once you make a choice/decision, then the choice makes you. She knew what she was doing was not a good thing. Yes, she was 17, so what! Most 17 year old's don't go out and show their stuff to strangers with cameras. They know it can come back to haunt them later, as this did her.

She's an adult, she is responsible for her own actions. Blaming her parents would be really pointless.

yes i do....one she is to blame but u gotta blame in part her parents cuz they raised her u know ..wat kinda stuff did they teach her and her moral stand and beliefs..so yea and it doesnt have to ...i think if she sees this as her defining moment of where her life should be headed...she will be smart.and go the right way i have hope in her :)
