I LOVED it!
There are rarely good movies such as that! ^_^

I think it bogged down in places. I was annoyed with Denzel's character busting the computer screen. I think his tirade in the observation room was out of character. I got tired of cultural jab that Denzel's character, being a black man, was very smart. In addition, a genius scientist that is a black woman. Not that these things can not happen, but these characters were cast in an attempt to alter the viewer's perceptions in the real world, which was all too obvious, and so detracted from the movie world experience.
There were a few yucky kinds of emotional things, like, flash to the woman crying when Denzel's partner is shot. We didn't even get to know Denzel's partner so we can't really sympathize. The camaraderie that suddenly appears between Denzel's character and the scientist.
I was annoyed with the idea that Katrina made New Orleans stronger when clearly the area is weakened. Furthermore, I was saddened that the writer chose to cast an American man, rejected soldier, as a terrorist rather than a muslim, middle eastern man, which would be more appropriate these days.

I thought it was a really good movie. Definatly intense. You dont want to walk out of the movie because you might miss something. I enjoyed it alot!

I thought it was brillaint and after watching so many stargate episodes and havin accesss to wikipdia i was able to understand most of what they were saying about wormholes.
