that is a tough one.. you have to chose between Cy Young, Smoking Joe Wood, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, etc.... In the modern era, i have to vote for Pedro. He was in his prime and for a few years he was almost unbeatable.....

That's a tough question because the game of baseball has evolved so much in the past 100 years. Personally, I would say Roger Clemens simply because of the DH in the American League. Cy Young was a great pitcher, but did not deal with the DH.

Too hard to answer, but just imagine the rotation of Cy Young, Joe Wood, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez and Mel Parnell. Maybe with Dick Radatz as the closer.

Roger Clemens. He is tied with Cy Young for wins in a Boston uniform, and he wa much more dominant during his time as a Red Sox pitcher.

Roger Clemens, the guy is better than Cy Young. Rocket can get many K's (second most all time), many wins (8th mopst of all time), the most Cy Young awards (7), and he has a Triple Crown and an MVP.

George Herman "Babe" Ruth. He still holds some World Series pitching records. If he had stayed at pitcher his whole career, he would have been one of the best ever. He completed 107 of 148 starts. He was 94-46 (.671 pct.) with a 2.28 ERA. He had two 20+-win seasons and one with 18.
