Ive been in this situation before,
but the person i thought was my best friend was really kinda of a wierdo and was trying to be my boyfriend thinking i was gay(im not), then my other more popular friends started to think i was kinda wierd for hanging out with him, turns out he was VERY weird and i was just really to nice and forgiving, i regret ever calling this deranged person my friend and wish i had the respect of my more popular friends back.

The truth is you will be judged by the company you keep and you should keep out the wierdos at any cost. I took a risk cause i thought the guy was generous and nice and misunderstood and i ignored the warning signs that said STAY AWAY because i was too nice and forgiving, now im a dick and ive learned a very real life lesson.

But sometimes all your more popular friends could be very wrong it just turns out that in my situation they were right. so i hope this helps.

Never!!!! A friendship is way more sacred then anything that is involved with popularity. Being popular is a curse because youre constantly surrounded by fake people. it's not cool to be popular its just a shame. A friend is not a real friend if they dump the other for popularity.

No way. Popularity isn't as big as a lot of people think it is. Its like you try to become noticable to these mean people and you think they're cool and everything, but then when you're actually accepted by them, you find out that they're just regular people that insult everyone. On the other hand, your best friend thinks of you as a popular kid and you probably think of him/her as a popular kid back. If you follow in what you think, people will follow you and you'll become popular.

No, it's not worth it. Popularity comes and goes and it only stays for a while, friends don't. The real friends when they come, if they are only good friends, they stay with you all the way no matter what!

In the end no one cares how popular you were in high school and if you move away you might get lonely with out that best friend. Friends are worth more trust me

No its not. When you are younger it seems like it matters, but when you are older that's not what is important. The only people I still talk to from high school are the ones that were my true friends, not the "cool kids". True friends will always be there for you and those are the people that will be most valuable when you get older. After high school, everyone is the same, there isn't nerds or losers.

it is so not worth it! best friends can last for years, and they really care about you! being popular disappears in seconds, and then you'll be left with nothing. those popular people aren't real friends

NO!!!

(if you have seen all the movies you would know that)

It is true,
your friend is more than being popular. Don't give it up for some people who just like you for what stuff you have than what friendship you don't.

Being popular is not worth losing ur BEST FRIEND over. Just make sure their ur true friend. And make sure ur their friend. Do let popularty mess up friendship, because if u do u don't deserve any friends!
