If I system restore, will I lose any contacts from msn I added today??

I assume you mean MSN MESSENGER and not mail or another MSN product.

MSN Messenger stores you contacts on their servers, not locally on your computer.

Doing a system restore or even an entire reformat should have no effect on your contacts.
