No, it is not unfair for Americans to pick fights with us Brits. In most arguments the Brits win hand down anyway. What we have here are two great democracies who are in perpetual argument and struggle with each other. It will never end, nor should it. If you have a friend, you know that an insult is the same as saying I love you but don't tell anyone I said that.
