Bend over forward and drink a glass of water. It's the only thing that works for me.

I have no clue why this works, but for some reason putting a rag over a full glass of water and drinking it through the rag (all in one breath) really does work. Just fill up a glass of water, put a rag over the top ad drink the whole glass. Your hiccups will be gone as soon as you're done drinking. I used to get hiccups a lot when I was a kid, and my dad told me to do that. IT WORKED EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! No one has ever heard of this, but it really does work (100% of the time for me!!!). Just give it a try.

Either hold your breath for as long as you can or drink a large glass of orange juice. Hiccups usually result from eating or drinking too much.

Inhale till you lungs are full of air and then hold on for a few sec. Actually when we just inhale, only 20% of our lungs are filled.

This remedy works because a hicupp is nothing but the disturbance in the rythmic pattern of breathing, caused by the gases released due to indigestion and few other reasons. So no breathing means no disturbance in the breathing pattern. And after a few seconds the body adjusts itself and releases the little amount of gas systematically.

Exhale out as far as you can and then hold it for 20 or 30 seconds. It works a lot better than breathing IN and holding it. It also works great for getting rid of a stitch in your side (like when you're running or something.)

My mom scares the heck out of me and it goes away or you can drink a glass of water but make sure to take three big gulps and then there's the old hold your breath cure. That one never works for me though.
