That's dumb. Just buy with it stuff that you're eventually going to have to use cash to get anyway. Like milk, cereal, toilet paper, gas if the Wal-Mart has a gas station, etc. It's all the same money, you'll just make back the savings out of unused cash later. In the meantime you're stuck.

You should try trading it to a friend because Wal-Mart will not give you cash, unless you want like a penny. That's how some gift cards/certificates work.

I don't think so - it usually says that on the back of the card. You could buy something and then return it, though. Then they usually give a cash refund.

No, sorry. If you buy something and return it, it will go back on a gift card for you to use later. That's basically how gift cards work.

No. Wal-Mart will only give you cash back for a gift card if you paid for it with cash, and you bring the receipt in with you.

No; I don't believe you can unfortunately. The only thing you could try is...buying something with it and returning it (without the receipt though; because they'll just put the money back on the card.)

not really- most people wont go for trading it either cause theirs no real way of proving how much is on it. Use it for food or laundry detergent or something.
