For the Nintendo Wii, how am I supposed to surf the internet and view forecasts? Do you need a router?

You need a Wi-Fi Access Point that is connected to the internet. For the Nintendo Wii, it can be a Wi-Fi router device or a Windows PC with Wi-Fi capability.
A router basically a device that routed the internet connection from your Internet Service Provider to your computer (in this case, the Nintendo Wii).

Im not sure if you need one but a router is like one of those things you conect to a outlet that have a lot of sockets that you can conect more things on but its for using the internet on mulitiple items with a ethrenet slot
