how do you reset the parental control on the play station 2?

cant remember code and cant play restricted dvds

put in the DVD that requires the passcode

when it asks for a code, STOP

push SELECT

it will ask you for a password, and will look slightly different

enter the code 7-4-4-4, that is the factory reset code listed in your ps2 manual

now it will ask you to set a new code - recommended codes include 0-0-0-0 or 0-1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4

I dont think it will work like that.
You probaply should get rid of it after you can get your hand on a ps3. It will have backwards compatible
