My son left a ballpoint pen in the dryer and it is all over the barrell inside. Is there a way to remove the ink or is the dryer a loss?

Sherry, the best way I have found to remove **** from my dryer is to use the New Magic Erasers(white blocks look like sponges) those things will remove just about anything.
After you clean your dryer good, rinse several times with clean rag, then I would take and old towel or something wet it and put it on the drying cycle and let it catch any "residue" from the dryer holes. Here is a trick I used with my family-husband included, I did so many loads a day, for a family of 7, I thought the least thing they could do was get their dirty clothes to the laundry or, OR least in the basket in their room. They would never turn the clothes right side out, or pant legs one in one out, same with shirts. So when I would sort clothes that took a long time to "pre-sort the clothes, I told them the next time I found clothes just thrown in basket like they came off the body, they would have to stand there and turn the garment inside out 100 times! Believe me it made a believer out of them. My sons wives now thank me for training them so well! My husband, well he is a very slooooowww learner!ha Happy Holidays!
