Are NCIS and CSI part of the same production? I think NCIS was on first, then I started seeing all these CSI shows.

no, they're not the same. ncis investigates navy crime and csi just investigates crime. ncis was a spin-off from the show jag. and i'm pretty sure csi was first to come out.

they're the two crime shows....Investigating and fixing murders...yet IMO, CSI is in basic terms too a great way fetched and over the remarkable. while NCIS, is achievable and not cheesy like CSI may be - particularly CSI: Miami - Ugh! NCIS rocks!!!!

They are both considered cop shows, but they are completely different. NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service where they deal with crimes involving people in the US Navy and the Marine Corps. CSI stands for Crime Scene Investigation and the show deals with solving cases based on the evidence they find...which can be with any case. CSI specifies more on evidence and solving the case that way.

No, they are both CBS shows, but they are not the same. NCIS is a show about naval based crimes, while CSI is about murder within the general populous of a certain city.

NCIS is the navy investingations and that is the true name of the actual department... in the show they do not have the same indepth scientific analysis as they do on CIS. NCIS has everybody but their jobs are very seperated and they generally focus on the all the methods of solving the crime more.
also NCIS is actually produced by two naval officers.

no they aren't really the same ncis is about a team solving crimes that involved members of the service mainly navy csi is about all sorts of crimes involving all sorts of people and they show a lot of scientific stuff about crime solving and ncis doesn't

NCIS is nothing like CSI. There is very little science, they don't collect evidence etc on NCIS.

no , they are very different . NC IS is about ships , water , naval things . CSI is investigation of crimes , more suspense ., more nice looking actors..................... they are not the same thing !
