I know maggots can be found in meat, chicken, and other animal flesh. Maggots are found in rotten meat, dead animals, dead people, garbage, and excretement. But my question is...do maggots sometimes get into other food other than animal flesh- like pizza, cheese, snack food, or even food without meat or diary ingredients? Do flies lay eggs in other foods other than meat?

yes. but maggots also do good, if you saw the movie gladiator the African guy puts maggots on a wound because they eat gangrene and secrete antibiotics that's what happened to soldiers in all the wars where they were left in the battlefield instead of going to the doctor they survive, because the doctor would clean the wound and kill the maggots so the gangrene would spread!

yes as a rule maggots will infest and break down just about any organic matter. But as far as flesh and putting them on wounds, they will only eat rotten or dead flesh, that why they where used to clean up infection.

Yes, they do. When I was little we had a compost pile. I was eating an old orange out of it that was filled with maggots. My mom rushed me to the doctor. He said they were just an extra source of iron. EWWW!
