i really would like a fake fur coat for christman but i hear it is made out of dead dogs and cats is this true

it could be... faux fur has to be made out of some animal's fur.

First you need to understand that fur from a dog or cat IS real fur.
Your question implies that you want a different, more elegant fur but you don't want to pay for it. Synthetic fur is made to look and feel like the good stuff but it won't look anything like dogs and cats.
Look, if you want to find out for sure, wear your cheap coat to a kennel and see how the inmates react.

Doubtful, but it could be. Most of those things are synthetic. My mother had one of the best sayings that I have ended up using quote often: "You get what you pay for." If you are cheap, you'll get a cheap product that usually ends up falling apart, tasting just a little off, slightly defective, bad quality, etc.. If you get your fake fur coat from a reputable source, it will most definitely NOT be made out of dogs and cats.

some are, ones from China may be. Easier to breed dogs and cats for fur than a lot of other animals, and in China, they even eat the meat also.

Don't they have to list the material components on the label or some other tag? Ya know, Mr. Burns of the Simpson's would love the idea. He makes his custom out fits of pets and other assorted animals .

why would you consider it ok to wear a coat made out of a bunny or mink, but not one made from a dog or cat??? That's a little twisted if you ask me!

Oh my gosh, I hope that is not true.
It might be if it is made from a foregin country, but I am not sure.
Just to be on the safe side, don't get one.
