Ask to borrow your items back...or straight out ask for them back since you want them and need them to use yourself. You do not say what these items are. Are they items that can be used up or are they large things....if you are a friend, you must have seen them at her place if you go there. OR what kind of a friend is this?

Doesn't sound like a true best friend to me. Take the loss, chalk it up to experience, it's a cheap lesson, and you've learned something from this: she can't be trusted.

You'd better make sure she hasn't put it in storage. If she has and doesn't pay her rent, all your stuff will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. It will then have been lost forever.

once someone has your stuff that long, they either convince themselves that it's theirs, cuz they've had it so long,
OR, they have lost or broken it and are afraid to admit it.
Lesson to be learned - only lend things that you can kiss goodbye, or borrow something at the same time you lend something, so you can trade back.

By this time I would think she ruined it or lost it. But I would get her to admit it! And never borrow her anything again.

If your stuff is really worth it. Ask the police or a local lawyer.

go and ransack her house for your stuff. even though she's your best friend but that doesn't mean she can borrow your things on unlimited time frame

if you haven't got them back in 2 years your not going to get it back. if you have asked her for your stuff and she haven't gave it back . your not going to get it back. next time don't give your stuff to anyone. you say best friend that's not a best friend a best friend would return your stuff. just tell her if she isn't going to give your stuff back just give you your money you paid for it.

Confront her face to face about it. Just say hey where is that (whatever she has that is yours) I let you borrow ? You have had it forever and I need it back.
